Our Program History

The Canadian College of Osteopathy (CCO) was established in Toronto in 1991 and is a member of the Association of Traditional Osteopathic Colleges of Canada (ATOCC).
The model for the CCO is the Collège d'Études Ostéopathiques (College of Osteopathic Studies) in Montreal. Philippe Druelle, DO, of France, founded that college in 1981. The CEO has graduated more than 400 qualified Osteopaths in the province of Quebec. As a result of the increasing stature of the CCO nationally, it established colleges in Vancouver (2000) and Halifax (2001). The CCO family now also includes a campus in Winnipeg, Manitoba, opened by Principal Brad McCutcheon in 2009.
The Toronto campus operated at its original location in downtown Toronto until 1998, when it moved to a seventh-floor location at 30 Duncan Street. Then in 2010, the college moved to its present location at 150 Bridgeland Avenue in North York, Ontario.
